Not directly, and that is true of nearly every free editor. A PDF stores finished, laid-out output rather than editable paragraphs. The practical fix, which this tool is built for, is to whiteout the old text and type the new text over it in a matching size. For heavy rewriting, convert the file with our PDF to Word tool, edit the document properly, and export a fresh PDF.
Open the PDF, click Add text, and type the value for the first field. Drag it onto the line, match the font size, then repeat for the other fields. It is the digital version of writing on a printed form, and the downloaded copy looks like it was filled properly.
Sign white paper with a dark pen, photograph or scan it, and crop it to just the signature. Then use Add image here, place the file on the signature line and scale it to fit. A PNG with a transparent background looks best, and our image cropper can prepare it.

No, it covers it. The original text is still inside the file and can be found by select-all or a determined reader. For everyday corrections that is fine. For genuinely sensitive information like account numbers, treat this as visual masking only, and use proper redaction software that strips the underlying content before sharing the file.
Text is drawn with Helvetica, the standard PDF font that every reader ships with, in regular or bold. It covers Latin letters, digits and common punctuation. Text in other scripts would need a full font embedded in the file. A workaround for a short phrase is to render it as an image and place that instead.
Yes, in the same overlay style. A scanned page is an image, so whiteout and typed text work naturally over it, which makes this a handy way to fill or correct scanned forms. To pull the text out of a scan first, use our image to text tool.
A PDF that needs a password to open is encrypted, and the tool cannot rewrite what it cannot read. Remove the password in your PDF reader first, edit the file here, and protect it again afterwards.
